Announcing the 2025 Worthing Rotary Carnival Theme: “MAGIC MOMENTS – Memories are made of this”
The Worthing Rotary Carnival is back for another spectacular year, and we’re thrilled to announce this year’s theme: “MAGIC MOMENTS – Memories are made of this”. This theme is all about celebrating the unforgettable moments that define our lives. From childhood memories to magical adventures and heartfelt celebrations, we’re inviting you to showcase the moments that shape us all.
But this year, the carnival holds even greater significance as we tie the theme to causes close to our hearts.
Funds raised from this year’s carnival will go toward supporting two incredible charities: Dementia UK and Alzheimer’s UK, in addition to supporting our local charitable causes too. Both of these organizations provide essential support to individuals and families living with dementia, a condition that touches millions and impacts memory, the very core of our theme.
Here are 3 creative ways parade groups can tie into the theme, while also raising awareness and supporting our chosen charities:
1. A Journey Through Time: The Magic of Childhood Memories
Capture the nostalgia of childhood memories with a float that celebrates the joy of growing up, featuring iconic toys, games, and family moments. This could be a poignant way to recognize the memories that dementia and Alzheimer’s can impact, by showcasing how precious these memories are. Parade participants could dress as characters from childhood fairytales, and with each step, they’ll help bring attention to the importance of memory preservation. By supporting Dementia UK and Alzheimer’s UK, we can help families hold onto those magic moments longer.

This float could feature iconic global landmarks and beautiful destinations while raising awareness of how dementia and Alzheimer’s affect our connection to the world around us. Every dollar raised at the carnival will help these charities provide support and services for those living with memory loss, ensuring more people can continue to enjoy their magical moments.

Life’s milestones—birthdays, weddings, anniversaries—are events we cherish and hold in our hearts. But for those affected by dementia, these moments may fade over time.
