Worthing Rotary Carnival Wins Community Event of the Year
The Rotary Club of Worthing and the Worthing Carnival Committee are delighted to announce that Worthing Rotary Carnival has been named Community Event of the Year at the Worthing Community Awards, held at Rooms in the Guildbourne Centre.
The award recognises the incredible effort, dedication and community spirit that helped make last year’s carnival one of the town’s biggest and most vibrant events, featuring 24 parade entries and bringing together local families, charities, community groups, performers and businesses.
With a history spanning more than 100 years, Worthing Rotary Carnival has long been a celebration of the town’s community spirit, creativity and togetherness. This award is a reflection not only of the event itself, but of the volunteers, supporters and sponsors whose hard work and generosity helped bring the carnival to life.
The organising committee would also like to thank Melanie Peters and the entire Worthing Community Awards team for organising such a positive and inspiring event celebrating the people, organisations and community groups that make Worthing such a special place. The awards have quickly become an important celebration of local community spirit and volunteer achievement.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who took part in the parade, attended the event, supported fundraising activities, donated resources, volunteered their time or helped behind the scenes. Events of this scale simply would not be possible without the continued support of the local community.
The carnival has always aimed to create an inclusive, family-friendly event while also supporting charitable causes and bringing people together across Worthing and the surrounding area. To see that recognised through a Community Event of the Year award is a proud moment for everyone involved.
Planning is already underway for this year’s Worthing Rotary Carnival, with organisers promising an even bigger and better event for the town. More announcements will be coming soon — including details of a brand-new headline stage act.
The committee would once again like to thank everyone who helped make this achievement possible and looks forward to welcoming the community back for another unforgettable carnival this year.
